Veitch Heritage Collection

Caradoc Doy has been researching the plants introduced by the Veitch Nurseries of Exeter & Chelsea in anticipation of creating a Veitch Heritage Collection of plants for study, posterity and conservation.

This includes the nurseries of John Veitch in Killerton (Established circa 1770's), James Veitch in Exeter (Est. circa 1832), James Veitch & Son in Exeter (Est. 1839), James Veitch & Sons, Chelsea (Est. 1864) and Robert Veitch & Son, Exeter (Est. 1864)

As a way of helping to fund this ambitious project, Caradoc has been collecting a growing plants introduced by Veitch in order to offer a range of plants for sale. Please use the link on the right for the current availability of plants by mail order.

Initially, the range of plants will be focused on a mixture of hardy varieties but in time it is hoped that a wider range of plants can be offered.
